SysTweak PhotoStudio is an application including many tools for opening, creating, editing and printing images. This application has a modern-looking interface in the style of recent Microsoft Office versions. In this respect, the use of a tabbed ribbon instead of the usual toolbar maximizes the workspace and facilitates the access to the features according to the given context. Although using the program is not difficult, it is accompanied by a carefully written help file.
The tabs are organized in a wizard-like fashion, from selecting the pictures to producing the desired results. Right when you start the application, there is a welcoming wizard to guide you through the different stages of importing image files. In this regard, the program supports three different sources: your hard disk, a camera or a scanner. Likewise, it supports such destinations as photo album, batch group, image basket, hard drive and CD/DVD. These actions correspond to the first tab in the ribbon, called Capture Images. The second tab will let you convert pictures of photos to other image formats. The Edit Images tab includes functions like resizing, rotating, inputting text, drawing shapes and adjusting levels. Finally, there is another tab from which you will be able to apply image effects. These are grouped into basic, artistic, color, distort, blur and wave, but all of them are further customizable.
There is one word to describe SysTweak PhotoStudio: versatility; not only because of its multiple functions but also because it includes multiple presets that make it accessible for beginners and multiple customization options that can satisfy more demanding users. However, if image editing is not a frequent task for you, perhaps you would prefer to save a few bucks using one of the multiple free applications available.
